The University System of Maryland Launch Fund is a three-year pilot program comprised of $600,000 which is being distributed by System institutions as microgrants to companies and organizations founded by students, faculty, employees, or alumni. Ventures are required to have a substantial portion of their manufacturing, service, research and development, or office space located in Maryland. Apply by June 15.
Start-up founders whose companies operate at the intersection of health, tech, and artificial intelligence are encouraged to apply to the Techstars AI Health Baltimore Accelerator powered by Johns Hopkins University and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. Selected applicants will gain support and mentorship from Techstars, Johns Hopkins, and CareFirst.

Join Milken Institute for an interactive virtual public convening, Defining the Value and ROI of Patient Engagement in Medtech Product Development, to provide public comments on a draft framework that outlines how and where patient engagement can drive impact across the total product lifecycle of medtech R&D activities—from early-stage development to post-market decisions. This convening will also feature a set of medical device and patient organization presenters sharing their experiences engaging patients in their R&D activities and describe the impact of doing so.
