Orchestra BioMed has a strategic collaboration with Medtronic for the development and global commercialization of BackBeat CNT for the treatment of hypertensive patients indicated for a pacemaker and strategic partnership with Terumo for the development and global commercialization of Virtue SAB for the treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease.
Orchestra BioMed is looking for an experienced content creator and story builder to assume our newly created Director, Corporate Communications role. The candidate will help lead creation and development of impactful presentations and multi-media content to drive external and internal communications as well as enable thought leadership campaigns in the field of medical device innovation.
The ideal candidate is an expert writer and storyteller, adept at working with investors, partners, physicians, vendors and the media. The candidate must be able to research and create innovative short, medium, and long-form content (presentations, blog posts, press releases and thought leadership content) and social media content (LinkedIn and Twitter).
A strong candidate will be comfortable collaborating with senior management, external IR and PR professionals, product development and clinical teams, strategic partners, investors and physician KOLs across the business. They will report directly to the Chairman, CEO and Founder and work closely with a wide range of leaders and stakeholders to develop insightful content in support of the Company’s communication strategy.
This person will also work with multifunctional teams to support emerging business initiatives collaborating across our enterprise. The candidate should have prior knowledge and experience building presentations around business and technical topics in medicine, healthcare, medical devices, and technology. This is a full-time NYC office-based position for which we will consider a hybrid work arrangement if necessary for the right candidate.
- Serve as Orchestra BioMed’s Corporate Story and Content “Architect”
- Deliver engaging, unique, and purposeful content in various formats.
- Organize and lead cross-functional brainstorming sessions to identify key constituents and messages
- Develop and manage a communication & social media calendar and ensure timely execution
- Partner with and help manage IR, and PR creative agencies to develop content as needed
- Analyze performance data and optimize IR and PR plans accordingly to achieve objectives.
- Create new and unique articles, Blogs, and white papers
- Ensure that communications content is properly researched and documented
- Other responsibilities may be required based on business needs
