The BioFutures Program is a competitive program to connect students from under-represented backgrounds with subsidized internships and career development programming, designed to increase opportunities for students and companies year-round.
Interns will have opportunities available to them to gain further insight into the LA life science ecosystem, including:
- a paid internship at an LA life sciences company (including biotech, medtech, and digital health companies and both technical and non-technical roles), subsidized by BioscienceLA
- mentorship opportunities with individuals from organizations like BCLA and Women in Bio
- “Dinner & Learn“ networking events held at BioscienceLA’s Culver City Center for Bio-Innovation with ecosystem leaders and (in future years) program alumni
- an alumni program to stay involved and connected to the ecosystem and each other
