Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to implement the organizations strategic plan related to domestic heath care policy, including all US regulatory and payment policy. To represent organizations positions before Federal agencies, such as the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Essential Duties of Position

Strategic Planning

• Develops policies that advance organizations strategic objectives, reflecting external stakeholders input and consensus, and meets the diverse needs of the stakeholders while retaining strategic focus and ensuring effective resource allocation
• Interacts directly with organizations Board of Directors and other company executives to develop and implement advocacy strategies
• Anticipates and responds strategically to changing policy and political environments
• Supports strategic planning and content development for organizations events program
• Active participant and contributor to AdvaMed Policy Council (advancing enterprise-wide Board policy priorities)
